Accounts Assistant – Consultancy

Up to £25,000 p.a. DOE (study support, part-time and flexible working options available)

Our Client is an award-winning private education consultancy and they are now looking for an exceptional Accounts Assistant to join the team.
As Accounts Assistant you will need to be proactive, adaptable and a highly organised individual who will report to the Finance and Operations Manager
They are seeking someone who can take a hands-on approach in helping. They are a dynamic team with ambitious growth plans, this role would suit a self-starter with an interest in business processes and systems who wants to contribute to the overall vision of the company.

There is plenty of scope for development and progression, with the potential for a study support package for those looking to work towards a professional accountancy qualification.

Main Responsibilities as Accounts Assistant:

Monthly Accounts Cycle:
• Daily reconciliation of payments
• Managing the billing process
• Handling queries from clients, and all other parties warmly and professionally
• Sending monthly sales invoices, and any ad-hoc invoices
• Receiving and processing all purchase invoices, staff expenses and requests for payment
• Management of monthly staff submission process and payments
• Credit control: chasing debtors and aged debtors reporting

Other Responsibilities will include
• Supporting Finance & Operations Manager to develop budget and cost management strategies
• Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the CRM system
• Managing petty cash transactions
• Streamlining processes and improving data quality
• Responding to incoming phone queries as part of team phone rota

Key Attributes  required as Accounts Assistant:
• Strong computer skills (incl. MS Excel)
• Able to work autonomously and handle confidential data with the utmost  
• Quick learner and able to prioritise effectively; ability to work quickly and
   accurately to deadlines
• Highly organised and proactive; a problem solver
