Assistant Management Accountant – Marketing Agency

£30,000-£34,000 plus study support

Our client is an impressive marketing agency that is now seeking an equally exceptional AMA with good Paprika knowledge to join the team.

This is a great opportunity to get involved with the continuing growth of the Agency you will have the opportunity to get hands on experience in implementing a new agency software and you will be required to actively get involved.

This role will enable you to help out in different areas of finance as well as provide holiday cover for other finance team members.

Key responsibilities will include:

Daily responsibilities:

  • Assisting the finance apprentice with posting purchase invoices if required
  • Processing cash and credit card expense claims
  • Assisting the finance apprentice with raising sales invoices if required

Weekly/fortnightly/monthly/quarterly responsibilities:

  • Preparing and carrying out supplier and cash expenses payment runs
  • Posting and reconciling the bank
  • Updating the cash flow forecast
  • Reviewing the aged debtors report and chasing invoices that are due for payment
  • Paying monthly salaries to all staff
  • Ensuring PAYE and other payroll taxes such as PSA and P11D are paid on time
  • Preparing VAT returns for review by the finance business partner

Month-end responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and completing purchase orders on Paprika
  • Revenue recognition and management
  • Accruing for cost of sales and overheads
  • Maintaining the prepayment schedule and releasing monthly charges to P&L
  • Preparing the finance pack and carrying out variance analyses
  • Reviewing the finance pack with the finance business partner and distributing it to the MD

Paprika system implementation:

  • Attending planning workshops with Paprika and the finance team
  • Assisting in establishing processes for finance and all other users
  • Training new Paprika users and being the go-to person for all Paprika related queries

REQUIREMENTS:

  • AAT qualified or in ACCA/CIMA early/mid-level stages with at least 2 years’ work experience gained ideally in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous Paprika experience is essential
  • An outgoing personality is essential as the candidate will be approached regularly by our staff who can be a little demanding at times (1317)
