Our Client is a well established consultancy that works with many different agencies internationally.

 The role will be responsible for advising and supporting employees, so the ability to empathise with people is key. You will be supporting the Global HR Director, assisting with key activities in the people function and ensuring the business keeps people at the heart of what it does. 

They have a small and tight HR team and they require you to be flexible to the business’s needs- They are really looking for someone who is curious and demonstrates a can-do attitude. 

The right candidate will not be phased by doing HR administration but can also demonstrate gravitas and develop confidence when partnering with and supporting stakeholders at all levels of the business. This is a very important characteristic as you will be the first port of call for most HR issues and cover when the HR director is on annual leave. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Recruitment & Induction

  • Support managers with all recruitment needs
  • Run the onboarding programme for all new starters
  • Manages offers, negotiations- all parts 

HR Administration

  • Collate monthly payroll instructions and liaise with payroll to run each month
  • Ensure all employment contracts and other required paperwork completed
  •  Maintain HR IT system, ensuring excellent record keeping
  • Liaise with third party suppliers, including pension suppliers 

Advice/ Employee Relations

  • First point of contact for managers in supporting and advising them, including resourcing needs, employee relations situations, well-being and on policies and processes
  • Prompt management of performance management processes, with care and consideration for all parties 

Feedback Systems

  • Run the appraisal processes throughout the year, helping guide managers and their teams through what to do and ensuring everyone in the business is participating effectively
  • Drive continuous feedback within the company
  • Analyse data and pull together team reports 

Learning & Development

  • Arranging training programmes under the direction from the Global HR Director
  • Working with managers to identify development opportunities for their people and advising on appropriate development activities 

HR Projects

  • Supporting on key people projects as required

Skills required

  • Solid HR experience including employee relations, performance management and learning and development

  • Good knowledge of the UK employment legislation
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively drive forward initiatives
  • Desire to learn and develop
  • Strong communication skills
  • CIPD Level 5 desirable– part or fully qualified
