HR Advisor / Senior HR Advisor – London SE1
Salary: circa £35k pa depending on experience
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious HR Advisor. Our Client is a well established international growing consultancy in the marketing sector, working with many different agencies in over 90 countries, circa 100 employees.
This role is responsible for advising and supporting employees, for supporting the Global HR Director, assisting with key activities in the people function and ensuring the business keeps people at the heart of what it does.
In a small team, you will have a can-do attitude and be able to get involved in whatever needs done to support the people of the company. Your role will be integral to ensuring the company recruits, retains and rewards the best people. The HR team play a key role in instilling and creating a distinctive culture, that enriches everyone in the team. They have an HR Manager in the US, forming a tight team of three with this role and the Global HR Director to deliver the talent agenda.
Responsibilities
Distinctive Culture
- Help deliver the goal to build a differentiated business of the highest quality, putting clients at the heart of what they do and enriching everyone in our team
Advice/ Employee Relations
- First point of contact for managers in supporting and advising them, including resourcing needs, employee relations situations, wellbeing and on policies and processes
- Prompt management of performance management processes, with care and consideration for all parties
Feedback Systems
- Run the appraisal processes throughout the year, helping guide managers and their teams through what to do and ensuring everyone in the business is participating effectively
- Drive continuous feedback within the company
- Analyse data and pull together team reports
HR Administration
- Collate monthly payroll instructions and liaise with payroll to run each month
- Ensure all employment contracts and other required paperwork completed
- Maintain HR IT system, ensuring excellent record keeping
- Liaise with third party suppliers, including pension suppliers
Recruitment & Induction
- Support managers with all recruitment needs
- Run the onboarding programme for all new starters
Learning & Development
- Arranging training programmes under the direction from the Global HR Director
- Working with managers to identify development opportunities for their people and advising on appropriate development activities
HR Projects
- Supporting on key people projects as required

Skills required
- Ability to build trusted relationships through a professional but personable approach
- Solid HR experience including employee relations, performance management and learning and development
- Solid understanding of HR best practice
- Proactive approach and the initiative to improve and develop the HR function
- Exercise sound judgement and seek guidance with confidential issues where needed
- Analytical and solution orientated
- Organised with great attention to detail
- Good knowledge of the UK employment legislation
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively drive forward initiatives
- Passion for people being at the heart of the company and / or passion for cultural work
- Desire to learn and develop
- Strong communication skills
- CIPD Level 5 desirable- part or fully qualified
