VisionFR are acting on behalf of a great home-tech business providing smart tech solutions for the residential/hospitality sectors including audio visual experiences, who are seeking a confident Finance Assistant to join the team on a 9-12 month contract basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller as part of a team of 3 (including CFO).

Role Purpose:

Maternity cover in the finance department, taking responsibility for the finance team’s day-to-day tasks and ensuring the broader company’s requirements are met.

Main Duties:

  • Full responsibility for the sales and purchase ledgers, including raising and posting invoices and chasing debt
  • Managing accounts emails and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Ensuring the CRM system is up to date with all project-related information, including invoices and payments
  • Managing the direct debit process
  • Updating weekly cashflows, ensuring all information is correct
  • Liaising with the purchasing department to ensure communication of all required information.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role, accounts assistant or higher
  • Need to be able to demonstrate all-round financial experience
  • Sage50 experience desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • To be able to prioritise and ability to meet tight deadlines, often under pressure
  • Ability to deal with clients and partners in a tactful, diplomatic and confidential manner
  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
  • Working experience in CRM and Project Management software
