We are delighted to be working with a wonderful Global Public Relations Agency to help them find a Global Purchase Ledger/ Finance Assistant with strong Paprika accounting software experience as well as strong accounts Payable/ Purchase Ledger Skills skills. They are looking for someone to join the lively Finance team who are collaborative and supportive of one another so great team working and a can do attitude are essential.

Purpose of the Role:

You’ll join our operations team to deliver outstanding finance admin support across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in an exciting company and to experience finance in an international environment where you will have real responsibility from day one. You will also be supported towards obtaining the CIMA/ ACCA qualification.

Responsibilities for the Global Purchase Ledger/Finance Assistant

Delivering the Companies vision and growth and how you can help meet that :

  • Month-end: Assisting finance team in the month end process including monthly reconciliation and reporting which allows us to keep to our annual business targets and goals

Deliver the best (internal and external) client experiences :

  • Purchase ledger: Accurately code and process supplier invoices; reconcile to supplier statements.
  • Handle any supplier queries and ensure responses are sent promptly. \
  • Processing employee expenses and ensuring compliance to company regulation.
  • Processing suppliers and employee expenses for weekly payment runs.
  • Completion of monthly credit card reconciliations.
  • Respond to enquiries from the business in a timely and professional manner :Resolve queries in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Manage banking and petty cash: Completion of weekly bank reconciliation, multiple currencies.
  • Work across general finance admin to support your team and the wider business:
  • Setting up new supplier and client codes in Paprika.
  • Setting up new employee profiles in Paprika and assist with maintaining employee records and ensure information is up to date.
  • Oversee and maintain Paprika timesheet function.
  • Provide support to the client teams by raising POs.
  • Ad hoc payments and being on hand to answer any queries they may have.
  • Assisting with reconciling intercompany balances on a monthly basis.
  • Filing all source documentation.
  • Assist with provision of information for annual audit
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required Deliver the best People experiences

Deliver the best People experiences (how you will work with your team, locally and globally)

  • Assistance on weekly cash reports: rollover cash flow weekly and update Creditors section.
  • Liaise with other offices in the group: Assist with queries relating to cross-office clients.
  • Sales ledger: If required, creation of client invoices, coding correctly to accounts system.
  • Be a strong team player: working to support your team however you can with day to day and ad hoc tasks

Key Attributes for Global Purchase Ledger/ Finance Assistant

  • Some experience in a similar environment essential.
  • You must be extremely organised with superb attention to detail.
  • Proactivity; taking the initiative and always seeing a job through.
  • A mature attitude and responsible approach to confidential information.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Superb IT skills.
  • Ideally a knowledge of Paprika; very desirable .
