Role: Junior Finance Assistant

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 + Partial Study Support Package

VisionFR are delighted to be acting on behalf of a vibrant independent creative agency with offices based in UK, USA and Europe. They offer a great working environment and are now looking for an engaging finance junior to join their finance team.
Finance Junior Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Purchase Ledger ensuring supplier invoices are recorded accurately
- Manage the Accounts Payable mailbox ensuring queries are actioned
- Post payments and update bank reconciliations on a weekly basis
- Process employee expenses, ensuring the correct VAT amounts are reclaimed while adhering to UK VAT rules
- Review outstanding Purchase Orders monthly to ensure job bags are accurate
- Process payment runs (currently twice a month)
- Reviewing Aged Creditors and ensuring Supplier Statements are reconciled.
- Support Finance Managers with chasing receipts from Clients and preparing job bags
- Assist the Finance team with the annual audit process and ad-hoc requests as required
- Support the Sustainability Team with reporting information
What Success Looks Like
- Ensuring creditors are clean with minimal cash balances
- Freelancers and Staff Expenses are paid on a timely basis
- Nominal invoices are posted within the correct period
- Ad-hoc / off-cycle payments kept to a minimum
- Queries escalated to appropriate team member
- Accurate postings to job and nominal ledgers
Key Requirements for Junior Finance Assistant
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Be able to communicate financial information to creative people
- Cheerful, positive attitude when dealing with suppliers and clients
- Paprika Software – Bonus – not essential
