VisionFR is excited to be recruiting a Managing Director on behalf of an independent communications agency specialising in the environmental sector, working with blue chip and fast-growing environmentally friendly companies. With offices in the UK and US, they have a unique offering and skillset which has seen business grow to approx. $3m revenue with approx 15-20 full time staff across UK & US. They are looking at an ambitious growth plan over the next 3 years.
They are now currently looking for a Managing Director on a permanent basis, based in the UK supporting Europe, Africa and Asia. The role involves overseeing accounts and business development.
Overall responsibilities of the Managing Director
Leading design and development of relevant marketing and new business materials. Overseeing the London office and managing the development of the team, overseeing recruitment, performance and training. Managing team to ensure efficiency, quality, high level of client service at all times. Overseeing retained and strategic communications assignments, which are diverse and include messaging, content, research, strategy, branding, and all types of activation. Support new business development globally including network expansion, securing new business opportunities, overseeing client proposals/negotiations.
The ideal Managing Director will have the following skills/attributes
- An entrepreneurial and inspiring leader
- Senior experience working within a strategic communications agency where projects have included sustainability of climate, clean energy, food, and nature ideally at a global/international level at international level.
- Experience working with not only private but also voluntary and public sector clients
- Great Communication, organisational and people management skills are essential.
- Desire to grow a current SME agency to the next level.
