Role: Accounts Assistant – Accounts Receivable focus
Reporting To: Finance Manager
Permanent: Hybrid 2 days in the office (Tues/Thurs)

Our client is a leader in the world of direct-to consumer health and beauty brands, growing over 100% in the past year with clients looking to expand and strengthen their engagement with high street and online retail partners across the UK and Europe.
They’re now looking for a motivated, hardworking Accounts Assistant to join their well established finance team (5 people). The role will involve supporting the Finance Manager with all aspects related to accounts and finance – with a core focus on accounts receivable – alongside assisting with minimal HR and admin duties. To be successful in this role you must be a self-motivator, possess an eye for detail and a professional manner at all times.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure sales invoices and credit notes are raised on a timely basis
- Handle month end procedures including sales and receipts reconciliations (by channels – including Amazon, Shopfiy), accruals, bank reconciliations, AP/ AR contra, etc
- Credit control and dispute resolution
- Provide weekly status update on AR aging report, including the latest receipt postings and allocation
- Multi-currency transactions’ postings
- UK and International VAT reconciliations and submissions
- AP invoices posting, e.g. platform fees
- Filing and administrative office work
- Assist year end audit
- Other ad hoc duties

Your experience:
- Previous experience working in an accounting support role.
- AAT level 3 or ACCA/CIMA part qualified
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office package incl. Excel (Advanced user)
- Accurate with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities, able to multi-task
- Working experience using Sage/NetSuite/Xero and other accounting software packages
