Overview

VisionFR is excited to be working with a Specialist Accounting Practice Serving Media, Creative, Marcomms, Entertainment Clients to find them a technically strong and highly experienced Statutory Sign off Accountant to ensure the clients Statutory accounts are reviewed and fully compliant. The role is part time around 2 days a week, hours can be flexible. The candidates may not have to be fully qualified but does need good exposure to having a similar role in Practice and demonstrating technical strength With FRS 102 and Company Act 2006. This flexible part-time position is ideal for an individual with strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and a collaborative approach to supporting the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review of Statutory Accounts
  • Review year-end statutory accounts to ensure full compliance with FRS 102 and the Companies Act 2006.
  • Technical Support
  • Provide assistance and guidance to the team regarding the production and presentation of statutory accounts.
  • Respond to technical accounting queries from the wider team and ensure best practice is maintained.
  • System Optimisation (IRIS)
  • Ensure the firm is maximising the effective use of IRIS accounting software.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for the team on IRIS-related queries.

Candidate Profile

  • Ideally ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with proven post-qualification experience or if not qualified can demonstrate extensive experience and strong technical skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and the Companies Act 2006.
  • Previous experience in reviewing statutory accounts within a practice environment.
  • Familiarity with IRIS accounting software, with the ability to support and train others.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate technical matters clearly.

Working Arrangements

  • Flexible part-time position, requiring approximately 2 days per week.
  • Hybrid or remote working may be considered depending on candidate preference.
