Role: Finance Director Designate

Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 DoE
Full Time: Permanent – Hybrid (3 days in the office)

Finance Director Designate Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Reporting Figures/ Reports to PE backers
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and adjustments.
- Support on M&A Activity as needed / Acquisition accounting & support on integration
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with the CFO
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Responsibilities for overseeing the sales ledger and purchase ledger ( manage remote book keeper)
- First point of contact for internal finance related queries.
- Preparation and filing of VAT returns.
- Oversee payroll operations.
- Oversee WIP management and liaising with Account management teams
- Revenue recognition and revenue forecasting
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaising with external auditors.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of financial analysis for senior management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiency within the finance function.
- Support on the integration of the acquisitions into the agency
Finance Director Designate Key Attributes required:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Experience in a similar role within the advertising or media industry
- PE backed business experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in financial management software and spreadsheet skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong sense of integrity and commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
