VisionFR is collaborating with an SME global creative production agency to recruit a part-time (4 days a week) Group Management Accountant. The Company is a total of around 12 full time staff members plus freelancers. The role is sole role including transactional matters up to dashboard reporting, Full management accounts and KPI measures on Revenue. This role will make a significant impact to the finance function, so if you are part qualified, with technical expertise in UK GAAP and a desire to produce accurate and meaningful figures in a dynamic creative environment. Then this role is possibly for you. The added bonus is that it is also mainly remote with occasional need to attend.
Key Responsibilities of the Group Management Accountant
- Financial Stewardship: Manage all Accounts Receivable and Payable operations, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- Strategic Reporting & Analysis: Preparing comprehensive monthly management accounts and simple consolidation of two entities, delivering insightful variance reporting against budgets and previous years.
- Future-Proofing Finances: Assist the FD in the control of robust cash flow forecasts
- Budgeting & Optimisation: Play a crucial role in the annual budgeting process, continuously tracking performance and refining strategies to maximise financial outcomes.
- Process Excellence: Design, manage, format, and approve all journals and management accounts, upholding the highest standards of accuracy and control.
- Global Compliance & Payroll: Mange the monthly payroll and pension schemes for both London and Singapore, alongside overseeing timely VAT/GST quarterly returns.
- External Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact, fostering strong, direct communication with our external accountants and legal partners.
- Cash Flow & Expense Management: Oversee daily cash flow, manage & post multi-currency accounts, track credit card expenditures, and streamline staff expense processing.
- Empowering the Team: Share your financial expertise by providing valuable training to staff on essential finance processes.
- Collaborative Financial Strategy: Partner closely with the Business Director to implement best practices and deliver incisive ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Performance & Profitability: Deliver weekly KPI reports and actively engage in weekly and monthly project meetings, ensure Gross Profit project management alongside our Production team.
- Margin Assurance: Collaborate proactively with the Production team from budgeting through project completion to ensure healthy profit margins are consistently maintained.
- Board-Level Insights: Contribute to the final preparation of critical monthly financial reports and data for board presentations.

- Part qualified in a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience in a similar Management Accountant or senior accounting role, ideally with responsibility for the full finance function of an entity or region.
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS or UK GAAP) and their practical application.
- Proven ability to prepare full monthly management accounts and simple consolidations.
- Solid experience in preparing cash flow forecasts and managing annual budgeting processes.
- Practical experience managing payroll (especially across multiple jurisdictions like London and Singapore) and handling VAT/GST returns.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar), strong Excel skills for financial modelling and analysis, and familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Ability to clearly and concisely explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- A meticulous approach to financial data, ensuring high levels of accuracy and precision.
- Given the “30 hours per week” and “remote with occasional co-working” nature, the ability to manage workload independently and take initiative is crucial.
- Capacity to analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful recommendations.
- Experience in a creative studio, media, or production company would be highly advantageous due to the unique nature of project-based accounting and margin management in this sector.
- Experience managing financial transactions and accounts in multiple currencies.
- Exposure to financial operations and compliance in multiple regions (EMEA & APAC) would be a strong plus.
- Proven ability to help implement or improve financial and operational controls, indicating a forward-thinking and process-improvement mindset.
