Senior Management Accountant- ecommerce/Beauty (VFR 3251)

Role: Senior Management Accountant

Sector: E-commerce Health and Beauty

Location: West London

Permanent: Full Time – Hybrid (2 days per week in office)

Salary: £60,000-£70,000

VisionFR  is pleased to be assisting our client, a successful and growing E Commerce business for health & beauty brands, in helping them find a Senior Management Accountant. This is a fab role for a  motivated, hardworking and qualified Senior Management Accountant. The role will involve supporting the Finance Director with all aspects related to accounts and finance. To be successful in this role you must be a self-motivator, possess an eye for detail and a professional manner at all times. You will enjoy a fast paced environment – prior experience of the ecommerce retail space will be a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership and optimisation of month-end close processes, including timely reporting
  • Preparation of management accounts and three-statement financial models
  • Cash flow forecasting and variance analysis (budget vs actuals and forecasts)
  • Monitoring departmental and project spend, ensuring alignment with approved budgets
  • Financial performance analysis with clear commentary and recommendations
  • Supporting cost control initiatives and identifying efficiency opportunities
  • Maintenance of financial records and support during audits
  • Implementation and maintenance of corporate governance procedures
  • Risk management and strengthening of internal controls
  • Supervision and support of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities
  • Nominal ledger mapping, GRNI clean-up, and process optimisation
  • Preparation and processing of electronic batch payments
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required

Skills & Attributes of the Senior Management Accountant

  • Able to manage competing priorities while supporting the wider team
  • Calm and resilient when operating in a fast-paced environment

Experience & Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within an eCommerce or consumer brand environment
  • Experience managing UK VAT in a commercial environment
  • Exposure to EU VAT and cross-border eCommerce VAT requirements
  • Strong systems experience; NetSuite experience highly advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience desirable
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organisational skills
