Role: Management Accountant

VisionFR is delighted to be assisting a successful and growing creative agency to find a bright and switched on Management Accountant who will work directly with the Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities for Management Accountant Role:
- Play a key role in the monthly management accounts process by analysing spending, comparing it to the budget, and recommending adjustments as needed.
- Being the lead person for revenue analysis and system knowledge, using Paprika to best of abilities and being able to support Part Time FD with revenue related queries where required.
- Cashflow forecasting, updating MD on a weekly basis
- Manage Purchase and Sales Ledger
- Tracking of all POs received from clients and also generated by the team in relation to all purchases, and chasing outstanding invoice payments and POs
- Partner with counterparts outside of finance to enhance their understanding of financial reports and to deepen the finance team’s insight into their departments.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting entries in the company’s General Ledger within the required timelines.
- Assist with external audits and year-end closing.
- Main point of contact with HMRC, overseeing all tax and regulatory requirements including but not limited to PAYE. VAT, and Corp tax
- Timesheet oversight, monitoring timesheet information and ensuring entry into job costing system in a timely manner
- Establish and maintain a sound system of controls designed to mitigate risk
- Undertaking of other ad-hoc projects as required by senior staff
Essential skills and experience for Management Accountant Role:
- ACCA or CIMA Part Qual or Foundations completed.
- Excellent experience of working with accounting software Paprika within the last 18 months
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a management accounts role
- Previous revenue experience
- Calm, assured, able to meet the changing needs of the office and team
- Proactive in managing people, processes and situations
- Organised with excellent time management and ability to prioritise appropriately
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with understanding of estimates, invoicing, forecasting
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- A good communicator – keeping directors informed and sharing relevant updates across the agency in a timely manner
