Finance Assistant – Design Agency – (VFR3265)

VisionFR is working closely with a fast-growing International Design/Manufacturing Agency to find an experienced Finance Assistant to support the Management Accountant with the day-to-day smooth running of the finance department. This is a great opportunity to increase your development and gain exposure to a broader area of the business.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant

  • Record and process transactions daily
  • Manage invoice and expense approvals
  • Process supplier invoices and reconcile
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and foreign currency
  • Post journals, such as prepayments and depreciation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close for UK entities
  • Support reporting for departments
  • Submit monthly CIS returns and annual statements
  • Help prepare UK VAT returns and liaise with overseas accountants
  • Manage intercompany transactions and weekly payment runs
  • Provide ad hoc support to the finance team as needed

Key Requirements and Skills of the Finance Assistant

  • Ideally, 2+ years as a Finance Assistant or Bookkeeper
  • AAT qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Confident using Xero and Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with UK VAT
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently
  • Excellent communication and timekeeping skills
