VisionFR have a great opportunity for a Commercial Accountant to join a vibrant growing, creative agency. This is a newly created role to bolster the finance department and be at the heart of client services and production teams. This presents an excellent opportunity to influence financial outcomes and guide strategic decisions. This is not a role that just reports numbers.
Key responsibilities of the Commercial Accountant
- Revenue recognition, WIP management, and job costing
- Reduce balance sheet risk (WIP, accrued income, unbilled costs)
- Review workflow processes offline and online to ensure efficiency
- Lead revenue recognition across the agency
- Provide revenue pipelines, utilisation and resourcing plans
- Maintain PO coverage and flag shortfalls
- Work with teams to chase missing Pos
- Confirm correct coding structure
- Track unbilled revenue and ensure timely conversation to invoices
- Work closely with finance team at month end
- Commercial Acumen -End-to-end management of the full commercial lifecycle of projects.
- Drive positive change in DE&I and sustainability
Qualifications and Key Skills of the Commercial Accountant
- Experience in project accounting within a production or project based creative environment
- You will have a strong passion for the sports industry
- Solid, demonstrable background in a comparable commercial or project finance role
- Xero

- Clear Communicator: Articulate and professional in both written and verbal communication.
- Organised & Efficient: Highly detail-oriented with exceptional time-management and prioritisation skills.
